The Cat’s Meow Club mascot, Casper, is sitting on the front steps.According to Cat’s Meow Collector’s Club catalog about this series in general: “In the mid 1800’s, Galveston was known as the “Queen City” of Texas and prospered as the major port of trade for the state. On September 8, 1900, a hurricane and tidal wave created one of the most deadly disasters in U.S. history. Houston took over as the port city of Texas and Galveston slowly started rebuilding.”About this piece in particular, the Club catalog continues: “The design of the Sacred Heart Church is said to be based on a chapel in Spain built by the Moors. The brilliant white church supports a dome 100 feet high.”Excellent condition, in original Cat’s Meow wax paper bag, never displayed. Smoke-free home and in storage for the last 20+ years.
